Personality: Similar to the hidden tiger, crouching dragon, a humble, down to earth person who believes in sowing what he reaps. Practical and realistic, he keeps his identity low but does great things, shining greatly for others. Good time management. Probably short in height.

Personality: Lazy, sluggish, slothful and lethargic boy who can't be bothered to switch on the lamp or complete tasks. Math grades as messed up as the wires.


Observation: The lamp is neatly adjusted to a certain height, shining down on the aquatic plant. Test tube not placed straight up. Eyes focused and staring intently, showing affection for the autotrophic organism.

Personality: A very trusty, organized, focused and task oriented person, loves biology. However, probably not very straight and an elitist.


Observation: The lamp is turned off and pointing to nowhere but she is smiling.

Personality: Turns people off due to being confused most of the time, lost in the middle of conversations and slow to respond. However, very cheerful, easygoing and carefree.

Observation: The lamp is reluctantly forced into an awkward position with great force to shine for the plant, allowing the plant to create oxygen.

Personality: A forward looking leader who does things which may seem sucky at first sight but in the end its for the greater good.

Observation: Glowing brightly, the lamp is perfectly adjusted with the aid of a ruler, carefully aware that too much light will result in too much heat which may denature the plants' enzymes resulting in death while too little light will render it unable to make food for itself to survive.

Personality: A bright student, also a secretly loving and caring person. Everybody in his social circle is generously blessed. Females should take note of this guy.

Yap Chien – The Beast

for exams please remember to:
1)check if you brought your pencil box with working pens and pencil.

2)brought your calculators for revalent papers which are still working-check the battery.

3)check collar pin is on your uniform

4)data booklet for chem paper

5)Oral Digital Thermometer

6)switch your phones into silent mood or turn it off

During the exams
1)students are not allowed to use correction fluid/tape during exam (its under essential examination instructions the yellow paper point 11)

2)not turn their head around and around even after the paper has ended till the teachers says "you may leave" or something like that.

Hey folks, the June Hols are ending in a matter of hours! Hey, look at this from a different perspective! We are a month closer to the arrival of PROMOS and of course, the long awaited end of year holidays!

Just some reminders for the BT week:

1) No assembly (except for JQ, who has to go for flag raising, just to raise the flag. I salute you for your contribution to the country!!)

2)Check both the BT Schedule and the BT venues and report to the VENUE 0.5 HOUR before the START of the paper. So don't come to school half an hour before the paper start, but be at the venue of the paper half an hour before the paper start.

3) Bring a working Oral Digital Thermometer as temp taking exercise will be conducted before every paper.

4)Trigger temp is 37.6 degree C. So don't come to school if your temp is greater than or equal to this value and make sure you GET AN MC!

5)Those under quarantine, please refer to the info on SMB!

4th July is Public Speaking Workshop. Timing and location is yet to be announced, but will be announced most probably during BT week, so do check the SMB.

Sabbaticals: The location of the various sabbaticals courses are out on SMB and the teacher Chaperon list is out too. Mr Loy is attending Akido course for the 1st day. Cool!

OH yeah, I don't know whether there is this rule but please be properly attired and come with acceptable hair style and hair length (esp for guys, Preston included :D ) in case some strict and upright invigilator disallow you from entering the examination venue.

Advice from MOH

I will bring the beans and tape. Then we will CHOP CHOP make the shakers.
4)Any other things that you think can make noise. Maybe your mum or dad perhaps?

However, luring 2 girls at once is too greedy and ambitious for tiny guys as seen from above.

This is getting irritating! What we need is a clear and decent picture of his face!

Hey girls and boys, I'm afraid to announce that for the GEMS module, we have to change our choice of baking items from Oreo Cheesecake & Small Chocolate Cupcake to Apple Strudel & Curry Puff. Durian strudel is fine too, but since some of our classmates don't eat durian, we will go along with apple.

This sudden change is because while discussing the choice of baking items with the vendor, they mistook our budget. So they recommended the choice of Oreo Cheesecake & Small Chocolate Cupcake. So when contacting them earlier on, they told me we can't go along with that choice. So we have to choose apple strudel and curry puff. I'm so sorry that I messed up with them.

So is everybody fine with this choice? If there is any violent objection, please sms/call me asap. If not, I will just assume that everyone's fine with it and contact the vendor tomorrow to confirm the booking. Once again, sorry for the screw up.

After all the effort we put in for PI, just a few finishing touches some of you may want to double check.

Footnote

It is a MUST to have (or best to have) footnotes to cite your sources. Put your sources to support your info in APA format!

Reference/ Bibliography

At the end of your entire PI, you can have a reference page to cite all your sources again. Simply copy all the sources you put in for the footnotes and put them all together in the last page. Remember! APA format!

I’ve checked with Mrs Tan, it is best if we have footnotes to cite our sources (and provide info if you need) AND repeat the sources again in the final reference page.

For all those mentioned below, double check those areas that I point out. Just some areas to note:

If I put footnote, it is most probably you don’t have footnote or your footnote has some problems, like the source not quoted in APA format or that you didn’t even put in the sources. It is good (essential) to put in sources at footnote to support what you say at the relevant point.

If you are wondering how to put in footnote. For Microsoft 2003 version, go to insert then reference then footnote. For the latest version of Microsoft, go to the reference tab and you’ll see it.

If I write reference/bibliography, check your reference page. It is most likely that you didn’t put the sources in APA format. This is just to perfect it. If you find that it is useless and waste of time, go ahead to ignore it. For those who have problem quoting sources in APA format, you can refer to www.citationmachine.net. There are also some of us who totally left out the reference page. Do include even if you have written in the footnote.

· Huilin- Reference. Check for APA format and your word count is far too much.

· Preston- No footnotes. Your reference page is really ugly due to the rain. Please try to reprint if possible.

· Cherntze- Reference. APA format. For footnotes as well.

· Yanjie- Format for footnote and reference

· Xinying- Footnote.

· Shenyi- Just to confirm. Your footnotes quotation, is it in your reference list? If not, pls add it in as well.

· Zikeng- You have a lot of info in your footnote. Essential? Anyway, pls quote the source of your info in your footnote as well.

· Yuhan- Footnote

· Bryan- Please confirm your latest version with Mrs Tan. She is holding two copies of your PI and is assuming one of them to be your latest. Please double check to have your latest one recorded. And check your footnote. No sources quoted.


In summary, you need to have footnotes and reference page. Both in APA format! Please double check. For those who think that this is all useless, go ahead and ignore it.

Okay. So that’s about all. Please do check and do the final finishing touches. Mrs Tan wants all final copy by TOMORROW. Final deadline! Ok. Jiayou everyone for GPP as well! J Please do not be upset that I went through all your work. I just merely checked your reference and footnote and I apologize if I upset anybody going through all the work. Sorry in advance.

Final thing, for all who is submitting an edited version, we have to do everything outside class time so I need everyone’s cooperation. Please hand up only your final copy. (With regards to the draft Mrs Tan gave comments on, she wants it back too. So do bring along as well. HOWEVER, please do not staple to your final version!) And last thing, please remember to punch holes!

Actually, Time is my best friend, if you know me well enough, you would have seen Time and I having an occasional Macdonalds breakfast every saturday or so, sometimes shifted to Macs lunch when Time gets up late (: (btw, the fries that come out fresh just as lunch begins at 11am are really oily :o)
